Expressing their ideas through drawing

One of the activities MSLS loves to spend time on is "drawing". Everytime when they feel like wanted to draw something, I will give them a few crayola pen. Love this color pens as it is washable, it is more manageble, not to worried that they will accidentally drawn on the tables, chairs...
They will draw some lines, round shape...

Mom: What are you drawing today?
LS: Monster ( oppssss... )
MS: Daddy.

 MS in action.

Sharing. Sometimes the twins will fight. So, we have to always remind them to share with each other. This works most of the time!

MS asked me to snap a photo on her drawing.

At the meantime, our natural yeast is ready for our baking for today. Seems like it is quite active recently as I am more punctual in term of feeding time and using it more frequently.

Reward the helpers - berries chocolate chips yogurt

The girls were feeling bored after their afternoon nap. Not interested in playing toys...Reading? no.... Drawing? no....
I suggest to them if they wanted to clean the house with me. Perfect day, as the weather was about 16 degree C. Happily, they agreed.

MS was wiping the glass door.

ES and LS were wiping the window.

So, as a reward, I made them chocolate chips berries yogurt. They love to eat yogurt. One bowl is always not enough, and they always ask for more.
Making homemade yogurt is really simple and more cost effective compared to those bougth from grocery store.

Ingredients:
  • 1 Half gallon of milk
  • 2-3 Tbs of plain yogurt (as a starter)
Methods:
  1. Place the smaller pot into the larger pot of boiling water.
  2. Carefully pour your milk into the smaller pot.
  3. Heat milk to 185 degree F.
  4. Cool milk to 110 degree F.
  5. Pour 2 - 3 tbs plain yogurt into the milk.
  6. Pour into sterilised containers.
  7. Close the lid, and set in a warm place for 12 to 15 hours. Refrigerate, until chilled before serving.

Flower blossoming.. Spring is coming!

Spring is coming soon... This is the first flower that starts blossoming in our backyard. The weather is so unpredictable, last night was still snowing for a few hours.

Had been fully utilised on our natural yeast recently. Baked some english muffins on Sunday.

And this turned out to be our breakfast on Monday morning.

Continue to venture more varities with natural yeast. This round, we baked two loaves of  "Spin it" bread ( spinach blue cheese olive oil bread ).

MS was having a slice of spinach blue cheese bread for her afternoon tea.

Happy.. Satisfied....

Wanted to take a photo of MSLS... And they wanted to take my photo too.. using a fork????

Fun ride to the park

The weather was good last Sunday, about 13 degree C in the afternoon. We cycled to the park with the girls.

Nice view at the park

As promised, the girls feed the ducklings with the bread that they brought along.

After feeding the ducks, it is picnic time! Brought some apples and chocolate bread for the girls.

It's time to go home...

Took a family photo ( but can't see the ES & LS, they are sitting in the trailer ).
.

Passed by a nice building when we cycled back. We spent two hours to and flow from our house to the park, plus the time we spent at the park . Normally, it will took us about 10 minutes if we drive there.

Berries and chocolate chips vanilla cupcake

Baked some berries and chocholate chips vanilla cupcakes last few days. This round, had tried the vanilla cupcake recipe from Glorious Treats. Great recipe!

MS tried to hold the cupcake carefully...She wiped her fingers with handkerchief ( the one that next to her ) when her fingers accidentally "touched" the cream.

LS too...
