First day of CNY

Every Chinese New Year eve, Mummy will put  壓歲錢( ang pau) under the girls' pillow.

During Chinese New Year, gong gong and popo will give ang pau to their children and grandchildren. And all of us will queue up and wishing them a blessed new year. And this year, the three girls were well trained with greeting everybody with "Gong Xi Fa Chai" 恭 喜 發 財 ( wishing you prosperity) " Wan Shi Ru Yi" 萬 事 如 意 ( May all your wishes come true) and Shen Ti Jian Kang ( stay healthy ).

Surprise....

On the day before we returned to our hometown, the girls ( especially LS & MS ) keep on asking us not to go home. They wanted to stay in the hotel. This always happened when the holiday ends....

They got a surprise while we are waiting for our flight. They saw an indoor playground at the Family Zone.

LS: Woohoo... it was so much fun!

MS

The girls were busy playing at the Family Zone and they don't feel bored while waiting for the flight!

Exploring Singapore Zoo

The girls were excited as Daddy arrived in Singapore on the second day we were in Singapore. We decided to bring the girls to Singapore Zoo on the third day. Like the environment here. We did not feel too hot even on a sunny afternoon, as there are a lot of trees along the walking path.

We are ready.... to walk into the tiger trek!

MS trying to measure how big is the tiger's footprint.

Oh... this is how the tiger roar.

We went for the "Elephants at Work and Play" show too. During the show, they demonstrates how elephants are used as beasts of burden in south-east Asian countries. The animal caretakers are referred to as mahouts, and the show simulates how a mahout would instruct an elephant to transport logs or kneel down so that they can be mounted.

This is the fun part - merry go round!

ES wanted to see what is in the igloo.
ES wanted to have a closer look at the polar bear, but it was hiding somewhere. Think she missed the polar bear in Oregon Zoo....

Happy birthday, Mummy!

We celebrated mummy's birthday on Friday ( a day earlier ) as we are going back to Ipoh during weekends for Wei auntie's wedding dinner. Usually we will bake our own cakes, but with the busy schedule in work this year, I told daddy it will be fine that we just go for a simple dinner without a cake cutting ceremony. And guess what, after came back from dinner, daddy surprised us with this Hello Kitty cake. Haha.....

On mummy's birthday, ah yi bought another fruit flan cake - a cake where we used to buy for many years when any of our family members celebrating birthday. Thank you!
