Trip to KL - Day 2 & 3...... Part 4

This photo was taken at the coffee house during breakfast on the second day. Why Ee Shuen and Daddy have the same expression?

After breakfast, we went to Zoo Negara.

We saw a lot of animals such as deer, tiger, hippo, lion, elephant, girraffe...

Ee Shuen was so tired after a day visit to Zoo, Ikea...

Ee Shuen's favourite during her stay in hotel was the LRT. From the hotel room, Ee Shuen managed to see train passed by as there is a LRT station just down the road.
Everytime when LRT passed by, EE Sheun will climb up to the sofa, and watching LRT driving towards the station.

Finally, on Day 3, before leaving the hotel, we had our family photo again!

Is your MP representing you??

Last monday, Malaysian parlimen pass the motion to call for support for the Government's actions in the face of rising oil and food prices. Read here.

2 questions that you might want to ask youself.........
1. Are you piss off with current price increase of oil and food?
if yes.... but apparently the 129 MP that voted for the motion was not piss off.

2. did you vote for the 129 MP that supported the motion?
if yes... is he or she representing you in supporting the motion?

No more monorail for Penang; according to malaysiakini

There you have it, according to malaysiakini, the federal government has finally shelved the PORR and monorail project.

In this challenging times, rising fuel prices and climate change, improving and encouraging people to use public transportation will be something we want to do. Shelving the monorail is the most stupid decision to be made at this time. I thought when the government annouce the hike in fuel price, part of the reason was to use the money to improve the public transportation, another 'cannot make your mind decision?'

The expectation would be a little high, but its time for our state government show some creativity in getting the monorail project implemented without depending on federal funding.

We are one piss off 'with the decision' family!!!

Sleepless night

Ee Shuen didn't sleep well last night. When Mummy put her to sleep, she can't sleep and started crying none stop. We check her body temperature, not having fever, checked whether she sprained her hands or legs, nothing! But she was still crying continuously. Then, Mummy had to carry her and move around, ee shuen was just pointing everywhere indicating that she want to go everywhere, one confused crying baby...... Finally, after about more than half and hour, she fell asleep.
However at about 2am, she started to cry again. None stop crying! even gave her her fovourite - her pillow, she was still crying. Everyone woke up from her crying, ah kong and ah ma, all with very concerned look. In the end we thought we should take her to see dotor to check out what is wrong.
Dr suspected she had stomachache, as she was not showing any other symtoms. When she was back home, she started to cry again. So daddy tried to switch on her favourite cartoon - Barney, and guess what she came down from the sofa and start dancing!
After watching for 2-3 minutes, we switched off the TV and brought her back to sleep.
Finally, she slept till 8am, and as a result Daddy and Mummy also didn't went to work, just want to confirm she is alright.

Singing

When Mummy sings,

Old MacDonald had a farm, E I E I O,
And on his farm he had a cow, E I E I O.
With a moo moo here and a moo moo there,
Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo.
Old MacDonald had a farm, E I E I O.

Ee Shuen will sing along with the last few words " E I E I O ".

When Mummy sings,

One little, two little,
Three little Indians.
Four little, five little,
Six little Indians.
Seven little, eight little,
Nine little Indians,
Ten little Indian boys.

ee Shuen will wait patiently till the end and sing the last word together, " boy....."!

公 公, 姑 姑

Recently, Ee Shuen tried to learn new words. Today she look at Ah gong and called " 阿 公”. First time calling Ah Gong after teaching her so long!
When she saw gong gong ( Mummy's father ) photo, she starts calling " 公 公".

She also knows how to say " 姑 姑" ( gu gu ) finally!

爸 爸, 妈 妈, 阿 姨, 婆 婆

There was one night during few weeks back, when Mummy and Daddy away for work, ee Shuen lying on the bed, and start saying," 爸 爸, 妈 妈, 阿 姨, 婆 婆. " ( papa, mama, ah yi, popo )

This little girl must be thinking all of us!

Trip to KL - Reached our destination, Day 1...... Part 3

Finally, after 4 hours plus journey, we reached our destination - KL.

Ee Shuen checked out the hotel room see if it's alright.

After a short rest, we took LRT to KLCC. Ee Shuen was so excited as it is her first time to take a train. However, with the petrol price incrase and it was near to 5pm, the train was so packed. And the LRT station was not so user friendly for baby travels with stroller, as there is only staircase and no escalator.

We took dinner at one of the Korean restaurant.

After dinner, we took Ee Shuen to the fountain. Ee Shuen was so excited and running from one end to another.

We celebrate Daddy's birthday at hotel, with the scenary of Twin Tower at the back.

Trip to KL, THE FOOD....part 2

One of the interesting part of the trip was food.

1. on the way, we stop at Bidor for the famous duck drumstip mee sua, wan ton mee and little chicken biskuit (kai chai peng)

2. The first night, after arrived we decided to visit the Suria KLCC, we will tell the horror story of trying to ride the LRT with your baby and stroller in another post. With our hungry stomach we decided to eat in one of the korean restaurant, which of course burn a big hole in our pocket.

3. at KL of course we also visited McDonalds and Ee Shuen has her 3 course meals of corn flakes, bread and grapes.

4. We have heard so much about Tony Roma's ribs, seafood and steak that we decided to pay it a visit for dinner, much to our dissapointment. We ordered the NY steak and sesame salmon, which is just so so. The steak had a very peculiar shape, look more like a sausage. Another thing to point out, although Tony Roma's says they have seafood, the only seafood we say on the menu was salmon, fish and chips, and shrimps. If this can classified as a seafood restaurant, then I guess all the kin che phui in the coffee shop can now rename their stall to seafood kin che phui.

5. And on the third day on the way back we stop by Kampar famour curry chicken wrapped in bread. It was quite huge and of course cost us rm25. Intresting enough it is quite different from the other pirated one which have the curry chicken wrapped in aluminium foil, but this one is wrapped in paper, which be easily peeled off.

6. And finally, when we back from KL to Ipoh, it was dumpling festival. Popo had cooked some homemade dumpling. Yummy!

Trip to KL, off we go...... Part 1

Last weekend we decided to take Ee Shuen on her first trip out from Penang and Ipoh to visit KL, and all its wonder, KLCC, fountain, LRT, zoo negara and many more. Equip with Garmin's GPS, cost rm545 (bought from USA), off we go on our adventure.
