Strawberry and cheese bun

Tried to make some buns before we managed to purchase the stand mixer and weighing scale. Daddy bought back a packet of King Arthur flour from Fred Myer. It is never bleached, ideal for yeast bread baking.

I tried making some strawberry and cheese buns hand made and without using the weighing scale, just estimate the ingredient. The flour is so fine and you can feel it when you knead the flour together with the other ingredient.

The buns turn out to be great, as daddy and ah ma concluded it is just like those that we buy from the shop.

Today, I tried to make it again and recorded all measurement for ingredients.

Ingredients:
(1) 400g high protein flour
(2) 30g sugar
(3) a pinch of salt
(4) 3/4 egg
(5) 3/4 tbs instant yeast ( dissolve into 100g warm water, add in 1 teaspoon of sugar )
(6) 56g fresh milk
(7) 30g butter
(8) 3 strawberries, cut into cubes
(9) Swiss and cheddar cheese

Mix flour, sugar, salt, yeast and fresh milk with mixer for 2 min. ( speed 2 )

Add in egg, and butter and knead for 3 minutes.

Cover the dough with cloth or cling wrap and leave it for 1 hour. If the weather is cold, u may leave the dough in the oven, together with one glass of hot water.

Mix strawberries and cheese in the dough and divide the dough into 60g each ( approximately 14 buns ).

Leave it for 1 hour again.

Bake in a preheated oven, 350 F for 15 minutes.

They look absolutely delicious!!! And to think that you made them all by hand! Good job! Makes me want to try making them too, or maybe I'll just try eating yours first :)
